Redeemer Valley Garden is a ministry of the Sisters of the Redeemer. Growing in the present, the garden has roots in the past. The Sisters of the Redeemer previously farmed the land to provide for the needs of the Congregation and the residents at St. Joseph Manor.
Our Mission
To promote Hope, Health and Community through sustainable agriculture.
Our Purpose
We seek to benefit the community through provision of nourishing food, education, and encounters with creation while participating in earth sustaining agricultural practices
The Community Garden provides individual plots and a large community supported garden. Gardeners of all skill levels who desire the experience of growing healthy food while building relationships with each other and creation are invited to participate by tending an individual plot and/or the community supported garden. The unique community supported garden aspect provides food for local food cupboards, Farmer’s Markets, members and volunteers of the community garden. In turn each gardener agrees to volunteer in the community supported garden on a regular basis.
