Be an Angel to the Garden!

June 1, 2020

We are excited to offer our Garden Angel Program this year!

Do you appreciate fresh healthy produce and local agriculture?  The Garden Angel Program functions very much like Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).  In return for your generous financial support of  the Sisters of the Redeemer’s Community Garden, you will receive a weekly share of produce, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, that will be available for pick up within hours of harvesting.

Your tax-deductible contribution assists in the sustainability of the Community Garden as well as the mission to nurture sustainable soil, food, and community, which flows from the Sisters’ desire to be a hopeful and healing presence in our world today.

With a donation of $440, you will receive a weekly share of our harvest during the months of June through October. Or, with a monthly donation of $80 or $100, (depending on the number of weeks in the month) you will will receive a weekly share for that month.

Crops vary based on the season, but include: greens (kale, chard, tatsoi, mustard greens, argula, etc.), lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, asparagus, strawberries, ground cherries, plums, squash, melons, cucumber, zucchini, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, scallions, garlic, okra, beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, beets, basil, parsley, dill, cilantro, sage, thyme, rosemary, and more.

The amount and regularity of the produce share is dependent on the forces of nature and our growing experience as gardeners.  As a Garden Angel you will also receive invitations to garden events such as educational workshops and garden socials throughout the growing season.
